It installed so quickly that I thought it wasn't working. I played around on it a little after I installed it and think it is great--has a lot of nice little features that could be useful. My friend swears by it, but I think it is just because he never used Word. So who knows... Customer Rating: Summary: Why would anyone buy this? Comment: I did a search to see if this item was even being sold anymore. I am shocked to find out that it is. What can this do that OpenOffice or Google Docs can't do? (which are both free) Now I almost still need a need for Microsoft Office for real Office Junkies, but for basic office stuff, do the free stuff. It is probably more comptatible with Microsoft Office than Microsoft Works. The problem is I CANNOT open old documents, modify them and then send the end product to my friends to use. Either they cannot open the works document or if they can, I cannot use it when it comes back. How can this be, Microsoft word documents are not inter-changeable with Works documents.
