Summary: Excellent Product for close shave
Comment: I've used a variety of manufacturers for shavers, but found Remington to do the best job for me. This product was purchased as an upgrade replacement for my older shaver. The new shaver was not much higher in price than just replacing the blades in the older shaver. The older shaver was submersible for cleaning this one is not. The blades can be run under water for cleaning and the supplied brush cleans the shaver container area...not a problem.

Comment: When I finally got tired of shaving using conventional razors that take long time and cause skin cuts and irritation, I decided to look for an electric shaver. After reading some descriptions and reviews, I decided that a rotary shaver will be my choice since it is easier on the skin and also has a massaging effect.
Then I saw this Remington R450 on sale at Fry's and bought it. The razors have a titanium coating which is supposed to keep the blades sharp longer than regular steel blades. The blades are recommended to be changed about once a year and the cost ranges between $10-29 for a set.
This razor was a pure joy for over 3 months already. It takes me 2-3 minutes to shave and there are no mess or skin cuts or irritation. The shaving is clean and pleasant, and I really like the massaging effect of those turning screens. It comes with a brush, a small sample size bottle of a pre-electric lotion, and a carrying case with charger.
I recharge the shaver approximately once in two weeks while using the shaver daily. The battery operated function is very convenient. It can also be used while plugged into an outlet. It is also very easy to clean the heads by taking them apart, (once a week recommended), but I usually just brush off the hairs with a brush and tap the top cover to clean it off.
Overall, I am really glad I have purchased this product. It has saved me tons of time and I really enjoy the shaving process from now on. You can buy all sorts of pre and after-shave lotions with different scents and extracts.
Good product, if you haven't switched to an electric shaver yet, you should definitely give it a try.
