Customer Rating: Summary: Superb Comment: Although this is directed towards younger girls (say age 3 to about 5) the reading level is such that a girl who is 6 and even 7 will enjoy it. The girl who recieves this must like princesses and pink and girly girly stuff or they will not like this magazine.
My daughter really enjoyed this magazine until about 6 months ago (age 7 and a 1/2). There are stories about princesses, how to do princess craft directions, and puzzles and games, sometimes there are even recipes.
Using the directions we made a princess hat and a princess fan. We played several princess games. We made princess cookies once. And she read and read and read.
This is a great magazine. Contrary to the militant feminist review, it doesn't teach anything other than good manners, joy in simple pleasures, character traits such as being nice and simple crafts using every day household items. It doesn't do anything other than encourage reading and creativity. Children grow out of princesses soon enough and real life intrudes soon enough, why take the joy of dreams and happily ever after away from a young girl.
Well worth the money.
Enjoy.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great as a Present Comment: I got a subscription for my neice's 4th birthday (she started reading early) and she reads it voraciously from cover to cover once its in the mail. She really likes it. Personally, I could do without the games that sends subliminal messages that the princess has to get to the prince to win and would rather they focus more on characters like Belle and Mulan, rather than Cinderella-types. Sorry, but in reality when you wish upon a star, you'll still get beat by people who didn't and instead worked hard to achieve their "wishes."
Customer Rating: Summary: Princess fans enjoy good clean fun Comment: Disney's Princess is a great magazine for Princess fans. My 7-year-old daughter enjoys coloring and playing the games featured in the magazine. She shares her magazines with her friends because of the beautiful pictures of all the Princesses. It's a bi-monthly magazine so don't worry that your little girl will be addicted to the magazine. I prefer my little girl reading the Princess magazine & spending her time on the Disney internet websites.

Fun to Learn Disney's Princess is an early-learning magazine which brings together Disney favorites such as Ariel from The Little Mermaid, Belle from Beauty & The Beast, Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Cinderella, Mulan, Jasmine from Aladdin, and Pocahontas. Each issue is full of magical stories, a collectible poster, a Princess project, and a pull-out workbook full of fun activities. It's published bi-monthly and it's great for any princess, aged 4 and up.
