Features Rachael Ray Gusto-Grip 7-Inch East/West Knife. Rachael Ray Gusto Grip Knives feature a patented synthetic rubber and polypropylene orange handle to help keep your hand from slipping. NEW F¿ri Guard antimicrobial inhibitors are incorporated directly and permanently into the Gusto-Grip handles during the manufacturing process, giving the handle an added safeguard against microorganisms that can degrade the handle materials over time. Each knife has a solid forged bolster and tang constructed from one piece of the superior German CrMov stainless steel alloy. The handle is pressed into the thick tang and then a stainless steel counterweight is pressed into the tail for perfect balance.

Now it is held together by the urethane outer grip but broken on the inside. If the knife had a full metal tang all the way to the tailpiece, it would be really nice but the handle is truly just plastic. I do not mind the orange color, it kind of grew on me. Now if I can just find out how to use the limited lfetime warranty hopefully they will replace it. It did perform as well as much more expensive knives but it lacked the durability. The East/West Knife measures 7-in. long and is the perfect knife for vegetables and meats alike. The high-carbon, stainless blade is highly durable and offers precision cutting and lasting edge retention. For best results, F??ri knives should be sharpened regularly, hand washed and dried thoroughly before storing.
