Summary: Back to playing Harvest Moon!
Comment: This version of Harvest Moon is a much " cuter " version of the harvest moon. However compared to A Wonderful Life Playstation2 version, it is hands down the winner in my opinion. It has more activies to do and somewhat more challenging.
The Story starts with the goddess turning into stone and you must collect 100 notes to change her back (but you really only need around 50). Each note can be unlock with specific actions or goals (such as walking enouch, becoming a friend to someone, or simply throwing your trash away etc). You also have a rival who will also be collecting notes and farming in the same town competing with you on collecting notes and farm income. Its pretty neat that you can compare yourself everyday with your rival :)
This Harvestmoon is unique because you can choose which piece of land you want to start with. You can expand your farm by purchasing other areas of land in from the governer once you have more money. You can choose to built more barns for animals, grow more crops or both depending on your liking. You can also make your house bigger. You can buy furniture and arrange it the way you like. However some of the land is far apart and you have to rush back and fourth if you have your farm seperate. Fortunately, time does stop while you in buidlings, but not the mines.
You can also earn income from fishing, mining and collecting items. You can also grow trees on land that is not owned. These trees will grow fruits that u can pic when it comes into season. There are also other ways that u can find out yourself :)
Characters and animals
There are many characters in this game and many spouses for both male and female to choose! Woot! All the characters of course of things they like and dont like and a rival who is also after them. When you talk to them they each have their weird little voices to say hi. Personally I enjoyed the extra pets and animals that they had. Especially the horse because you can ride it everywhere which is a big plus. There are also wild animals that you can earn hearts if you feed them the right food.
Overall I say this game was very entertaining and that if you dont mind the cutesy world that they have created then it would be good for you too. I dont think it should be something to complain about because the game was created in the image the creators wanted to portray it. It is hard to earn money and get would to build houses because it is challenging you to think of ways to solve that. Sometimes you enjoy a game much more if you just accept the way it is and just go along with what the creators want you to do instead of criticizing eveything you have trouble with.

Comment: I haven't been a player of Harvest Moon for very long, but I think this game is probably the best one. There's a lot more personalization options than, say, A Wonderful Life. There are lots of ways to make money, so you don't have to work the fields if you don't want to. (I personally prefer anything other than actual crop farming.) You can choose boy or girl, and there are 10 spouse options for either gender. There are also lots of mini games and festivals for participation. It takes a while to get your farm started, and you have to be creative in ways to get money saved up, but if you like Harvest Moon that's not a problem. And this game goes on forever so there's no rush on when you have to get married. I definately recommend this game!

Comment: This game is so enjoyable. I've only played about 4 of them but this one is the most enjoyable of those. I think I could play through several times since I almost have all 100 notes now. I bought it because the reviews said it was better than A wonderful World and it hasn't dissapointed. Great game!

Comment: Magical Melody's graphics are much differnt then Another Wonderful Life's graphics. In Magical Melody the graphics are Chibi like. Aka fat and cute! It's pretty fun though. Play as a boy or girl! Yay! Of course the dog is free. You have to pay for a horse but you can have more than one. ONly one color though. There are a bunch of wild animals (including a white cat). If you see a wild animal, pick it up and it will like you better. Feed it too! If you give a dolphin fish everyday, you will be able to ride it!!!!!

Comment: When I bought the Harvest moon magical melody I was really excited. But after playing it for about 10 min. I got frustraited and traded it in. For this game was a huge let down compared to Wonderful Life harvest moon. For the controls were harder and I kept getting lost.
